PPE is Personal Protective Equipment that protects the user. It includes harnesses, gloves, footwear, eye protection, head protection, high-vis clothing as well as respiratory protective equipment, signage and hygiene/cleaning supplies
We work hard to try and check that suppliers are genuine but you must always do your due diligence. Check the products that a company is supplying are up to standard for your region. For example, under the European PPE Directive, anyone selling protective equipment must ensure it satisfies health and safety requirements and that the CE mark is genuine. If you do not believe a CE mark is genuine then you should request an EU declaration of conformity (DoC). Each Country should have its own guidelines which you should refer to before purchasing. If you are concerned about a supplier you have found on The PPE Directory who you believe may not be providing goods to the correct standards please get in touch.
