29 Jul PPE HEROES – The British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF)
Recognising those who have gone above and beyond during the Coronavirus Pandemic
Since 1994 the British Safety Industry Federation has been providing the PPE industry with information and advice while representing the needs of its members. As the lead association for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and recognised as a Competent Authority by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), the BSIF is an independent organisation helping to shape legislation while providing informative and essential information.
With over 300 members including manufacturers of safety products, certification bodies and safety professionals, the British Safety Industry Federation provides outstanding support and representation.
As the Coronavirus pandemic took hold, the BSIF quickly stepped up to provide vital information. Their regular member bulletins continue to keep their members up-to-date on regulations and news. Unfortunately fake PPE and allegations of organised crime have also become an issue, the BSIF have shared essential information about these subjects and many more. In April they hosted a webinar exploring CE documentation and its authenticity, find out more here.
Led by CEO Alan Murray at the helm, the BSIF team have worked tirelessly to support those providing essential PPE. Alan Murray in particular has been advising government departments whilst at the forefront of the fight against non-conformant products entering the UK market.
On behalf of the PPE and safety industry, thank you to Alan Murray and the British Safety Industry Federation for going above and beyond! We appreciate all that you do, you truly are PPE Heroes!
